About Us

The club has existed in Ulm since 1989

The Alevitic Cultural Centre Ulm and Surrounding Area is an association of Alevis living in Ulm and the surrounding area. The association was founded in 1989 and has non-profit status with
VR 1300. It is one of the oldest associations in the Alevi Federal Association AABF.

Since then, the community in Ulm, which pursues exclusively charitable purposes, has grown steadily. The number of active members was boosted by the planning of the new building. The number of members has thus risen from 216 last year to 310 this year and is set to increase to 500 active members in the next two years.
The central contact point in this area was and is this association in Ulm. Other affiliated
Regional clubs in this area are Geislingen, Laichingen and many others.

Through its diverse commitment in the educational, social, intercultural and interreligious areas, the community has increasingly profiled itself as a competent contact in recent years (member of the Council of Religions, Alevi religious education in schools).

Increasing demand in Ulm has developed at the club primarily due to the generational change.
Parents who want to educate their children.
Pensioners who don't know where to meet. Further education opportunities for young and old, as well as music lessons and other courses are always in high demand.

Other community activities include:
- Carrying out activities aimed at everyday life with the aim of facilitating and promoting the integration of each individual into society.
- Motivating and supporting community members in dealing with problems and challenges in all areas of social life (education, upbringing, death, etc.)
- Building and maintaining community relationships with each other and with other social groups with the aim of promoting the social competence of each individual member.
- Promoting community spirit and international understanding.
- Promoting integration work through cooperation with municipal and private institutions
- lessons, seminars, etc.
